+This trio of antique silver and enameled city shields has been fashioned into a necklace by vintage jewelry designers, Intellectual Property. The necklace has enameled shields for Davos, Switzerland, Callander, Scotland, and Braemar, Scotland, each decorated with the towns' colorful vistas or coat of arms. Two of the shields are stamped with “Sterling” on the reverse, while one is stamped with “800,” indicating it is a silver alloy, not sterling. The shields are presented on a strand of turquoise stones with a sterling silver toggle.
Searching the braderies and antique shops throughout Europe, the founders of Intellectual Property, Mary and Hallie, specialize in finding unique antique medals and transforming them into one-of-a-kind pieces of jewelry. Their designs highlight the legacy and integrity of the original pieces, artfully bringing the past into the present.
